The experience

A day in Essaouira brings a change of atmosphere: the Atlantic, pale medina façades and harbour life. Enjoy time in the souks and choose your own lunch, perhaps seafood, with a possible stop on the road depending on the agreed programme.

Handioasis plans the transport and accessible stages with you. Journey length and breaks matter as much as the sights. An overnight stay with a partner can also be discussed and requires separate arrangements.

Accessibility: planning your visit

An adapted minibus or 4×4 can be arranged depending on your mobility and availability.
The esplanade at the entrance to the souks is wheelchair accessible; other areas are selected according to access.
Allow for a long day, with around 2½ hours on the road each way.
Access to ramparts, harbour areas and restaurants varies and must be checked.
